Broome Day 1

Today my alarm woke me up at five thirty in the morning. After I got up I had a cup of tea and then went outside to pack up what I could of the caravan. Then Dad came out and we disconnected the water and power. After that we hooked on the caravan and drove off. We were driving out of Barn Hill Station by 6:46 AM and we travelled 120 km north to Broome. When we arrived it was nearly 8 o'clock and we drove to a caravan park. Then we waited until someone else drove out and then we got a site.

After setting up my sister and I went for a swim. The pool here is great. It's got a waterfall sand a lap lane for training. It was a very nice temperature and it's great for diving. Then we got out and walked back to the caravan. After drying ourselves and putting on dry clothes we all hopped into the car and drove into Broome. When we arrived we drove to the shopping centre and had lunch at the BBC. That stands for Broome Boulevard Cafe.

For lunch I chose a chicken, avocado, salad, and mayo. Mum, Dad and my sister had chicken strip wraps. After lunch we went into the woolworths and got somer more sparkling water and some other stuff. Then we walked back to the car and drove back to the caravan. When we arrived we unpacked and then my sister and I went for another swim. After a few hours Dad came and got us and we got out. Then we dried ourselves and put on dry clothes. After that we drove into town and picked up Raksha. She used to be a cub leader in the 3rd Baranduda scout group. So of course she knew Dad.

Then we drove out to Gantheaume Point to look at the dinosaur footprints. They weren't much longer than my boot. After that we climbed back up the rocks. On the way we found a small, blue crab eating weed in it's rock pool. Once we were at the top we took some silhouette photos and then went and identified our foot print photos. We saw the Therapod print. We also probably saw a different kind. But we're not sure as that print looks like a hole in the rock.

After that we drove back into town and dropped Raksha off back at here house. Then we drove back to the caravan and had a quick dinner. For dinner I had some avocado and cheese on bread. Then I went straight inside and went to bed.
