Monster Shopping Trip

Today we got up rather early and had a rushed breakfast. After breakfast we hooked on the caravan and drove 200 km to Port Headland. This is where the live cattle are supposed to be exported to Indonesia. After driving we arrived in South Headland where our caravan park is. Then we went and did our planned monster shop. We have to stock up as we are going to be staying on cattle stations for the next week or so. We spent close to 2 and half hours shopping.

Then we came back to the caravan and had lunch. After that we drove around Port Headland and saw some of the big iron ore transport ships. These ships are massive. It takes 35 hours to load one of these. The iron ore is transported to Port Headland by trains that are usually 3.5 km long. These trains are pulled by four 6000 horse power diesel engines. The longest train on record was 7.353 km long. It was pulled by 8 600 horse power diesel engines and must have caused a load of traffic jams when it goes over railway crossings. The normal size trains here cause traffic to back up about 500 metres.

After seeing lots of these trains we drove to a parking spot and watched one of these long trains come in. We noticed just in time and sprinted up to the lookout. From there we watched the train and carriages. Then we drove back to the caravan. On the way we saw some houses that were for sale, they're very expensive. Up here everything is big. The prices on houses, the fish, the boats, the trucks, the security on liquor shops and the security in general.

When we arrived at the caravan we started writing our blogs. I finished my blog. Then we had dinner. Dinner was beef stroganoff with noodles. After dinner we had dessert. Dessert was some chocolate milk with some fresh, crunchy bread. It tasted great. Then I went to bed.

Oggi abbiamo guidato 200 km.
L'unita era noioso.
Abbiamo visto un sacco di treni lungo.
