Point Samson Day 1

Today we were urged out of bed by Dad because he wanted to get moving early. After a hurried breakfast we hooked on the caravan and drove 350 km to Point Samson. We stopped at a roadhouse to get fuel and get some fruit out of the caravan. Then we drove on to Point Samson. When we arrived we drove to the caravan park and set up the caravan.

After setting up my sister and I went to the playground. The best thing on the playground is the flying fox. It has a swing attached to the bottom of it. What you do is you stand on the swing and hang onto the flying fox. Then you put one foot on the swing and use the the foot to kick off from the platform. Then you just hag on and turn the swing so that the end faces forward just like a skateboard.

It's great fun but you tend to get very sandy if my sister keeps throwing sand at you. After a bit we headed back to the caravan and had lunch. After lunch we went shopping. Then we drove to the port. The tides here are already high. The tugboats can only get out on high tide. This is because they are 90 foot long. The tide was out so far that one of the tugboats was sitting in water so shallow that it was touching the bottom.

After that we drove back to the caravan park and unloaded the shopping. Then my sister and I went to the playground. After half an hour we went back to the caravan. There Dad told us to go and have a shower. Half way through my shower the lights went out. It turns out that they are controlled by a movement sensor and no one came and went for the whole time that I was in the shower.

After that I went back to the caravan and started wrote my blog. Then we had dinner. Dinner was some sort of salad. After dinner we had dessert. For dessert we had pineapple pieces. After that I went to bed.
